In the world of Bel'Serea, it has been 2,360 years since the total collapse of civilization - and also the last time the Ancients were seen on the world before they vacated the lands they once protected.

While an ancient city was discovered in the southwest, and the re-emergence of the Viera to common society, a new Government was established to bring the world to order - called 'The Caltoh Central Government'. Ancient Airships were discovered buried in various places of the planet by explorers and engineers, and at this time only used by noblemen or Royalty. A final Ascension battle took place, which significantly dwindled those who still fought for dominance in the world, and the honor they once sought was fruitless to try and regain.

More and more ancient technology now in basic use in life then came a prophecy on how to contact the Ancients, high on the floating continent. Believing in this prophecy, Mist users of all walks of life joined in gathering Mist for this prophecy, yet all were fooled - all of those in that field were killed by a massive beast, with no explanation as to why.

With airships now in regular use by the public for transportation of people and goods, the world is now a more accessible place. From these recent advancements in all general areas of the world, many wonder about the Planet's history before the Common Era.
