This may already apply, but I'll reiterate that you must treat others, especially the mods, with respect. The internet may be an equalizer, but that doesn't mean that whomever is between the keyboard and the chair doesn't have emotions. What they do with the board or the RPG is done for the better of the rpg community, and with good reason. If you have an issue, take it up with Lorelei, since the mods ARE Lorelei's minions after all (if there are other mods besides Lorelei at the time).

If you're going to be away for an extended time, please mention it on the OOC boards. If not active for two months and with no word as to why, I will move the player's characters to the inactive section of the character boards.
When the player returns and is constantly active for two weeks, their character will be moved back.

If you spot something against the following rules anywhere on the board, please report it to the mods.

Usernames of the boards have a character limit of fifteen (15). No numbers may be incorporated. They do not have to be your character's (or one of your characters') name.

Please use proper grammar, spelling etc when posting In Character (IC) - that means no webspeak, or abbreviations. When posting Out of Character (OOC), feel free to type as you usually would, however we DO need to understand you easily.

Swearing is allowed, however if there's too much in one post - if you or your character is cursing expletives every other word, you will be warned.

If you find yourself taking offence to what someone has said, contact a mod, and don't further instigate the situation. It will be resolved outside of the board.

No spamming (very short posts which doesn't add to the conversation) of the boards, and try to stay on topic within the thread.

On that same note, please don't double post - IC or OOC. If done so, then it would be considered spam. Instead, just edit your post - it's easy to do!

Avatars are to be within 110x150 pixels, and signatures are to stay in and around 570 pixels, and 200 pixels high, which includes text.

Within either of these two images must be an image of your character. Images from characters of previous Final Fantasies aren't allowed (this includes fanart - and yes, I'll be able to tell). And since this isn't Vana'diel, I'm sorry, but images of your characters from FFXI may not be used. [Key word 'Auracite']

Your avatars cannot be long, drawn out animations - preferably no animations at all. The same goes for signatures.

If you made a pixel doll of your character and used it in any way, please mention the basemaker. This is not an option. In that same respect, please do not use Drag and Drop dollmakers - I know you all have more creativity than that.

Your character isn't perfect (aka Gary Stus or Mary Sues). No one's perfect in this world, and the same goes for this world.

If you'd like to play a character species not of the RPG already (Hume, Viera, Elvaan, Aegyl, Gria, etc.), please include images, and information about them along with your character application, in the same text file, under the history of your character. Please mention if they've already been in a previous Final Fantasy, along with your reason for having them on this planet.

Drawing inspiration from previous Final Fantasy incarnations - especially in regards to class-specific outfit elements is okay, but directly copying a whole outfit is unacceptable.

You cannot roleplay until your application is accepted. Something might need to be altered on your profile to fit in with the world, so please be patient during the application process. The more imaginative you make your character, and the more original it is, there might not be a NEED to go through a lengthy application back-and-forth.

Since I'll be expecting diversity with your characters, I don't want too many people belonging to the same species, class, and in some cases, gender. If I see too many of the same race/class/gender, I'll make a note of it on the webpage/board, and it will be capped off.

To submit your character, please post the character's bio to the CC/Review topic of the board, to let everyone see it and maybe point out some things that I might miss if you send it to only the mods. We won't bite, so don't worry.

You are allowed a maximum of three characters, but please wait at least a month or so before introducing each character.

No godmoding or power playing, period. Unless however, your fellow roleplayer have talked it out off the board, and has given you permission to do so. So, in that case, please both of you come to me so I'll know.

On that same note, be fair with the rest of the players with you, take a shot once in a while. Characters can't dodge everything. If you agree with someone else off the board to do something with your characters which disregards this rule, please mention it in an OOC note, or directly to me.

All posts in the game must be written in the third person, past tense, and at least a small paragraph long.

If you have more than one character, and if you're posting the same character in one post, please state in bold, what the character's name is and their location before you write the post. If each character has a different colour, you'll get bonus points.

If you'd like to change something about your character after you've begun rp-ing them and like to change your profile, run it by Lorelei first.

Romance is encouraged, rather than sex. We can't have this rpg turn into a smutfest.

If graphic content of a sexual nature is in your post, please post in red, bold letters at the beginning of what is in the post, so if people want to glide past it, they can. But, we'll cross that bridge if we get to it.

If you're inactive for an extended time, your character will be considered MIA (Missing In Action), and will be temporarily placed out of the rpg. If you come back with a good reason, contact Lorelei, and I'll find a way to slip your character back in somehow.

I reserve the right to adapt and change these rules at any time. A notice will be made when they're changed and will remain there for a week.
